NACE New England December 2005 Meeting Recap

Annual GM Breakfast

Ten Commitments To Win More Business "Savvy Selling Tips That Really Work"

With Jim Ayraud, President and CEO of Next Level, Inc

It was a blustery cold December morning but that didnt stop over 70 members, guests, General Managers, Directors of Sales and business owners from making their way to Bostons only five star, five diamond hotel, the Four Seasons. Hot chocolate, carrot juice cocktails and orange juice were passed among the attendees as Pianist, George Barnett from Entertainment Specialists provided soothing background music during the networking portion of our event. It was then onto the main dining area which where the tables and chairs were spectacularly appointed by Chair Covers & Linens and Faxon Green Floral Design. An elegant traditional New England Breakfast included fresh fruits, bagels, muffins, toast and danish, bacon and herb breakfast sausage, flavored yogurt with assorted sundries and the Four Seasons famous Eggs Benedict served on New England Crab Cakes. A great way to begin the morning that was all captured by photographers Jill Person and Lauren Killian of Person & Killian Photography.

Next up NACE New England President, Michelle Minasian, Director of Catering of the Four Seasons Hotel, welcomed everyone to the meeting. Program Chair, Tracy Kelly thanked our sponsors and introduced our featured Jim Ayraud, President and CEO of Next Level, Inc., a sales and advisory firm located in Franklin, MA. Jim stated that his objective is to challenge individuals and companies to reach the next level of salesmanship through ten commitments to win more business and increase productivity. His two decades of sales experience with such companies as Proctor & Gamble and Kimberly Clark has enabled him to focus on the key elements of success. We do not grow up wanting to be a sales person and the position is regarded as one of the least admired professions. Jim explained some basic principles of successful selling and then touched upon the aforementioned ten commitments and also touched upon the power of referrals. A question and answer period followed.

Ways and Means Chair, Carrie Campbell and yours truly then conducted the raffle to close to close out our meeting and the 2005 NACE New England year...

We would like to thank our December sponsors, Michelle Minasian and the staff of the Four Seasons Hotel, Jim Ayraud of Next Level, Inc, our featured speaker, Mary Lynne Leach of Chair Covers and Linens for the elegant chair covers table linens, Faxon Green of Faxon Green Floral Design for the wonderful centerpieces, Mike Amado of Entertainment Specialists for the piano player and Jill Person and Lauren Killian for keeping a photographic record of our event.

Happy Holidays! See You in 2006!
